What is Factory Farming?

Factory Farms, also known as Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO’s) are the biggest cause of animal suffering and abuse. Factory Farming is the modern-day, inhumane, farming practice designed for rapid product production, where animals face the most gruesome living conditions and abuse possible.  This method of farming is the primary way that the United States, and many other countries, produce mass amounts of popular animal products (meat, dairy, and eggs, etc) in rapid and high quantities.

Animals in CAFO’s are confined to tight cages their entire lives, where they can not even turn around. They never get to see the sun or leave those cages. They are raised to grow quickly so that they can be turned into products as soon as possible.
